Submission and Registration
How do you submit a video? What's the process?
Submitting a video to Digital Nirvana is a simple process, once you understand the steps. Here's the condensed version:
- Upload your video to YouTube.
- Complete the contest registration form at www.DigitalNirvanaTV.com.
- Check for your confirmation e-mail after 2-4 business days.
Once we've reviewed your video, we'll send you a confirmation e-mail at the e-mail address you provided us on your registration form. If your video complies with our rules, this confirmation e-mail will verify your entry. If your video is not accepted, this e-mail will explain the reasons your video was declined.
Note: Your video isn't officially registered until you receive this confirmation e-mail. Until you receive this e-mail, your video is still undergoing the review process.
Remember, uploading your video at the last minute isn't a good idea. Even with high-speed internet connections, the load time can be too much.
Make sure to have your video uploaded on YouTube and officially registered at www.DigitalNirvanaTV.com by 11:59:59 EST on December 31, 2008. No more entries will be received after this time.
How do I upload my video to YouTube?
- Log in under "Member Login” if you already have a YouTube account, or visit www.YouTube.com/signup if you don't have one yet.
- Once you have logged in or completed the signup process, click “Upload” in the top right corner. Follow YouTube's instructions to upload your video.
- Every 1MB on your video file may take 1 to 5 minutes to upload — even with a high speed connection. Be patient; have a cup of Oregon Chai! Visit the YouTube Help Center if you have any problems at this point.
- Once your video is uploaded, click on "My Account", then "My Uploaded Videos." If you had a successful upload, you'll find a URL associated with your newly-uploaded video. Use this URL to complete the DigitalNirvanaTV.com submission form.
When is the deadline for video registration?
Make sure to have your video uploaded on YouTube and officially registered at www.DigitalNirvanaTV.com by 11:59:59 EST on December 31, 2008. No more entries will be received after this time.
Remember that official registration might take a few days so we can review your entry and approve your video. Be sure to submit well before the deadline to ensure that your entry is allowed in the contest.
How can I tell if my video was successfully submitted?
Once you've uploaded your YouTube video and registered for our contest, you should see a verification page that tells you that your video entry has been received. After this time, usually in 2-4 days, you'll receive a confirmation e-mail that tells you whether or not your entry has made it past our review process and complies with our rules.
While your submission is under review, it is not a valid entry into the contest. Wait for our confirmation e-mail to verify your successful entry.
